Site Development Pipe Foreman

The Pipe Foreman oversees crews and coordinates all phases of underground utility and pipe installation, ensuring work meets project specs and codes while managing scheduling, materials, and budgets.

What You'll Do 

Precision Site Development is a trusted leader in Commercial Site Development, specializing in excavation, grading, land clearing, site utilities, and infrastructure construction. Under the direction of ownership and site leadership, the Pipe Foreman plays a critical role in managing crews and coordinating the installation of underground utilities and pipe systems. This hands-on role includes operating heavy equipment, managing materials and schedules, and working closely with clients, engineers, and trades to ensure each phase of construction is completed accurately, safely, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion safe work practices and uphold a zero-incident safety culture

  • Operate heavy equipment efficiently to meet project timelines and scopes

  • Install various types and sizes of pipe, underground utilities, and structures

  • Lead crews in daily site activities—from trenching and pipe work to backfill and compaction

  • Coordinate and schedule material deliveries, staging, and inventory tracking

  • Provide site layout and grade contours using GPS, laser levels, and field tools

  • Maintain and refuel equipment daily to ensure performance and uptime

  • Submit accurate daily logs using our project management software

  • Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized at all times

 

The Pipe Foreman position requires the ability to work in a demanding environment with an above average understanding of construction blueprints, earthwork activities, geotechnical principles, site utility installations. Additionally, the position requires physical strength, better than average hand-eye coordination, and the ability to climb as well as the ability to operate all types of excavation equipment, small hand tools, sledgehammers, demolition hammers, gas-powered saws, compaction equipment, and skid-type loaders.  A Pipe Foreman must also be able understand site grading plans and staking as well as the ability to lead others and adapt to change. Personal accountability is a must in this role.

Requirements:

  • OSHA 30 Hr

  • Confined Space Certification

  • Trenching and Excavation Certification

  • Trade School Certification

  • Class A CDL

  • Diesel Mechanic Experience
     

Preferred (but not required)
