Construction Laborer

Precision Site Development is a commercial sitework company committed to building high-quality, precise infrastructure through excavation, grading, utilities, and demolition services. As a Construction Laborer, you’ll support crews in the field by assisting with pipe installation, material handling, equipment fueling, and site cleanup—all while following safe work practices and helping projects stay on track.

What You'll Do 

The Construction Laborer plays a vital role in supporting field operations and ensuring the success of daily job site activities. This position assists operators, pipe fitters, and other trades with tasks such as installing piping, backfilling trenches, staging materials, fueling and maintaining equipment, transporting tools and materials to the site, and general site clean-up. The ideal candidate follows established safety practices and workflows and takes pride in working alongside the project team to help exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using safe work practices to insure an environment with zero recordable incidents or violations of the established Precision Site Development safety policies

  • Fueling and Lubricating all Company Equipment daily.

  • Loading, unloading and staging materials as needed and directed by superiors.

  • Assisting in the fitting and installation of underground utilities and systems.

  • Assisting in the backfill and compaction of trenches and embankments.

  • Assisting with the layout of site structures, systems and the establishment of grades and contours in utility trenches and site elevations using laser levels and laser rods.

  • Daily Street Sweeping and General Site Clean-up

  • Serving as a project team member and performing skilled trade activities for selected projects to meet project budgets.

 

The Construction Laborer position demands physical strength, superior hand-eye coordination, and the ability to climb and operate various tools, including small hand tools, sledgehammers, demolition hammers, gas-powered saws, compaction equipment, and skid-type loaders. The ability to follow directions, adapt to change, and take personal accountability is essential for success in this physically demanding role.

Requirements:

  • 5 years in the same/similar position

  • Knowledge of construction activities and environment. 

  • Extensive experience operating saws, compaction equipment and skid loaders.
     

Preferred (but not required)

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification

  • Trade School Certification
